Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the move should be done immediately because the government was serious about dealing with security matters, particularly in Manitoba.
He said the gazetted area will be security zones, namely the existence of an illegal base to be destroyed as well show the increasing number of police officers who perform surveillance.
"In terms of policy, I agree this proposal be implemented immediately. I will also seek a special allocation from the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak as he was concerned with the constraints faced, especially Kelantan police".
"Long-term solution in this state should be done by installing wall and proclaim the area as a security zone".
"This is to prevent the smuggling of weapons, drugs and criminal activities of our country or outside the country," he told reporters after attending a briefing on the present police headquarters (NHQ) Kelantan.

He said he is aware that it may affect the economy of the people, but also the safety factor should be to create a safer situation to the public.
"I understand, but in terms of smuggling, which is more important? We can not take into account economic factors, but the safety factor should be," he said.
